Each knife has it's own space and the magnetics keep them in place. It is so easy to put them away and take them off the board for use. Magnet is just strong enough, nothing feels like it's falling or is difficult to remove. The wood finish is beautiful and brightens my kitchen.

No issues with this one! Magnets work great, nice look, and fits perfect in our kitchen! Highly recommend!

UPDATE: I was sent a replacement, free of charge and sent the defective item back. The only thing I don’t like about it after having used it for a while now is that in some spots, the magnet (on either side) doesn’t want to hold something in the exact spot you want it and resists/pushes your knife to where it will stick. So with my sharpening rod, being round, if I stick it in one of these spots, it will literally roll down the board until there’s a solid/magnetic enough spot. All these things considered, I’ll bump my rating up to 4 stars.I received my knife stand just a few hours ago.Right out of the box, there is unfortunately a very noticeable chipped corner. The box it was shipped in was in tact, so it wasn’t due to mishandling by the carrier. Major bummer considering I spent a good chunk of time researching and reading reviews of others before deciding this was the one. Aside from that, it seems decent enough for the price. Large enough if you don’t have a whole collection of knives, tall enough for even my 8.5” bread knife and sharpening rod, and the magnet seems strong on both sides.

We had a really cool knife holder, but we have been buying different sizes and styles of knives and the holder wasn't working any longer. I looked around and read reviews on Amazon and found this magnetic knife holder. No need to worry about finding the right size holder for specific knives. I just need to put the knives on the holder and they stick easily.This has become a really great tool in my kitchen. I am visually impaired and it was getting harder to fit the knives in slotted holders in my previous holder. All I have to do is get the knives close to the holder and they stick easily. I also can easily see the knives and I can grab the right one for the task at hand.We have out Global knives, kitchen scissors, and various other steel kitchen tools all stored on our holder.This one was very affordable and looks great in our kitchen. There are more very expensive ones, but this little gadget was perfect for us!

I love the look and the concept, but there are some dead (non-magnetic) spots and the knives will fall straight down

What's great is you can use both sides to hold the knives. We built and does not tip over.

These is a quality knife block, I really like it, it has a nice weight to it and the magnet is strong, even my ceramic knives stick to it..
