Great gift for my 3 year old son
I brought this as a gift for my son for his 3rd birthday as he is utterly obsessed with cars and also one of those super inquisitive minds who likes to press every button and get his hands on everything. At 2 years old he can use the Hoover, including plugging it in and winding up the cable and he can use the washing machine, including turning the child lock on and off (obviously he does this while helping me - he's not left doing these things unsupervised). Therefore I figured this toy would be perfect for his obsession at figuring things out and might keep him occupied for more than 2 minutes. All in all, I'm really pleased with it. The tool is simple to use and easy to hold for small hands and the pieces all fit together well. The wheels are a little fiddly to put on, I'd say a child has to have quite good dexterity to do it as you need to hold the wheel and screw in just the right place with one hand while using the tool with the other hand to screw it in. We've had to help my son with it a bit but he's definitely capable of doing it with a bit of practice. The switch for the light and sounds is on the very inner piece, which is pretty difficult to pop open so we do have to switch it on and off for him which is a bit annoying but I can see why it's like that as that is the only piece big enough for batteries to fit. There are 2 reasons I took a star off: the first is that I find the box pretty deceptive. It has "31 over pieces" printed all over it which is actually a lie. As the listing states, there are only 30 pieces - that's counting the tool and 10 screws which I wouldn't call "over pieces". However the online listing does seem to make it pretty clear what the parts are so I only took off half a star. The other half a star I took off because I wish there were more pieces. You get the black chassy, two brown parts that are the engine and seats, 2 blue parts to actually make up the car body so that it's a regular car, 2 sets of wheels that both have silver alloys so look pretty similar anyway and then 6 yellow parts that you can put on to make it look like it's in the fast and furious films.I wish the company had had a little more imagination. The second set of wheels could have been a different colour and there could have been another set of parts to fix on to make the car different again. As it is there are only 3 options: in pieces, a normal blue car and a suped up car and I'm not sure how long it will be before my son gets bored. It would have held his attention a lot longer if he could have been inventive and constantly designed new looks instead of just the same over and over.

Best toy ever!
My 2yr old son had been trying to use my real drill so I decided to get this for Christmas. HE ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT! He quickly learned how to put it together and spends hours just putting it together and taking it apart.Although this was one of the cheapest, it was definitely his favorite of all his Christmas gifts. My 5yr old daughter also loves it and will sit with him putting it together. The sound is not triggered by movement and just constantly makes noise even when not being used which can get a little annoying. And to turn it off and on you have to disassemble it all which is frustrating. But otherwise it's absolutely amazing

Absolutely brilliant
I’ve been amazed by this toy. My little son is 3.5 years old and doesn’t tend to stick with one activity for very long, but he has completely dismantled and rebuilt this car for 40 minutes straight! It’s amazingly well made and realistic, the drill really mimics a real drill even “skipping” once the screw is all the way in and the screws screw in and out automatically just as a real drill does. What’s also great is my son definitely needs help at this stage working out what pieces go together in what order, but he can use he drill and put the screws in and out by himself, so I see this has longevity as it will take him some time to learn how it all goes together. Great for problem solving, concentration, physical strength and dexterity and fun!

Best toy ive brought in years
Brought for my sons 6th birthday. Have to admit i was alittle unsure about this product, i was worried it would be too 'cheap' or 'babyish' for him.How wrong was i?Out of all the presents he got from us, family and friends this certainly became hos all time fave gift! He has basically not put it down! As soon as he arrives home from school its the first thing he picks up.It has kept him amused for hours and even his older sister has played with it and she is a great lover of toy cars and building things. The toy itself is made to be very strong and sturdy. It is quite easy to wprk out how to build and take apart, bright colours and also plays sounds if you have it switched on. Great toy! Highly recommend.

Absolutely brilliant! One of the best toys I've bought my 3 year old in a while.
We absolutely love this toy. My 3 year old little girl loves a programme on the telly with cars in. She really enjoys pretending to be the female mechanic in the programme when using this car. It's great value. Has a couple of extra screws incase you lose any down the couch! The 'engine' has flashing lights and a reving engine noise (a little annoying but she loves it). The battery powered screwdriver is the best bit. It screws them in and also unscrew them too. Absolute winner in our house. Thank you!

My son is obsessed with this! Great present
For the first few nights my son had this he was obsessed. He must have taken it always and or it back together 10 times the first few nights. It was purchased for a 4 year old and it's certainly right at his age bracket. He's capable of doing everything himself, once shown the first time. The tool to take items off and on is simple to use. Push one way to tighten, the other to loosen. It has a choice of 2 sets of wheels, which is cool. Everyone who has been to see him he's shown them his car, especially his grandpa, the mechanic.
