Fun kit but so so instructions
The first kit came with a cracked storage case so I requested a replacement someone had assembled but a wire from the battery was apparently broken during assembly. I ended up keeping the first kit and love it despite the fact that the instructions were not that clear and I had to be very careful not to have the same wire break. The radio works surprisingly well. Very good reception and very decent sound for a little radio. I would recommend for older teens or adults. Fun to build.

A Very Easy To Put Together SW/MW/FM Radio Kit
It's a very easy, fun, put together kit that requires no soldering. I remember places like Radio Shack for example used to sell solderless kits, but this one, was something worth buying a building, because it has the SW bands to listen to my international radio broadcasts just like the old radio kits that only had AM and SW on it. This kit can be used and also modified with extra other modules like maybe adding a power amplifer for more loudness, maybe adding a Bluetooth receiver module and maybe adding a simple BFO circuit for adding single side band reception to your SW receiver to listen to the hams talking back and forth. The AM reception is very good, BUT, it only tunes 9 kHz increments which is good if you're travelling to other countries that have 9 kHz radio stations, but still you have to try to get used to tuning your local stations like for to tune 790 kHz, it will have to be set to 792 kHz. I hope the next generation design will remedy this 9 kHz issue and find a way to add 9/10 kHz reception including LW which can be the basic 153 kHz to 279 kHz like other basic radios have so when you do travel the world you will be able to listen to your domestic LW broadcasts before they sign off the air in the future. Also the reception for FM is really good, but it kinda overloads which means a attenuator for the antenna circuit could be added. It's a great experimenters playground radio receiver, you can have loads a fun or use it as is. It's great for to build and give to something like a special friend and family member on your gift list to get them started in short wave, AM and FM reception for years to come. A long wire and a loop antenna is recommended for best reception for this portable radio.

Fun kit
I like to buy little kits like this as something to keep my hand occupied. Most people get these for kids etc, but if you are an adult and just looking for a simple project to waste some time on while you watch something this is perfect Also this is def something a kid could put together pretty easily. I had zero issues (fitment etc) putting it together, it worked very well for me as far as the FM band etc goes. Also the alarm clock and such does work, just as many alarm clock radios from this time period (era may be a better phrasing) is a bit annoying to set haha. Less annoying to set an alarm then programming a VCR to record but still that nostalgia amount of annoying haha.

Fun Do-it-yourself radio kit; simple assembly
I built my own radio from scratch when I was a kid. We've come a long way from those days with this new radio kit based on advanced integrated circuits and powered by a 1000 mAh Lithium Ion battery recharged with a USB C cable. It's all solid state comes with everything you need, including the small screwdriver for securing all the parts to the plastic chassis. The included printed instructions are a little hard to understand, but there is a QR code that takes you to more detailed assembly instruction on line. The radio itself, receives AM and FM stations as well as a broad range of shortwave frequencies (4.75-21.85 MHz) . There is a timer function and it will remember what station you were on when you power off and on again. Biggest fail is the lack of pre-sets. But as a fun and educational project, this is wonderful for kids and adults. Yes, you get a working portable radio when you're finished, but you also get the enjoyment of putting it all together yourself and learning something at the same time.
