Well made & I also use it with a 4.5" diameter sieve for kefir grains filtration.
Well designed with a little handle, keeping your fingers away from the funnel, which can have boiling hot liquids going through. I think it's made of either polypropylene or high density polyethylene, both which can handle brief contact with boiling liquids and of course those plastics have always been BPA-free. Handy funnel for Kefir filtration, pairing a 4.5" diameter sieve with it.

They look perfect for canning or straining Kefir
Haven't used them yet but they look perfect. The large end of each canning funnel has an outside dia. of 4.65" & the smaller end of the funnels has an outside dia. of 1.96. The funnel height is 2 7/8".There's a 1/4" hole in the handles to hang them up or whatever. This is an update on my review: After using them I discovered that having 2 of them was important (this order was for a 2-pack), each came with a removable (& not very secure) strainer at the bottom, one of which I glued in place for straining kefir, & the other one with strainer removed was used to dump the kefir grains back into a quart mason jar (without any spillage of valuable grains) for its next feeding. It all goes smoothly & without a hitch (or spill). One reviewer complained about a lip inside the bottom of the funnels & this is true, apparently to help hold the strainers in place, but on the one I did not want the strainer in I easily removed the lip with a round ("rat-tail") file in 2-3 minutes, it could also be done with sand paper.

Use care when straining through the removable disc
The funnel fits canning jars perfectly and basically functions as expected; however, the snap-in straining disc is somewhat unsecure and can easily dislodge in the middle of straining. One just needs to be careful during the process.

NECK IS 2" DIAMETER NOT 1" AS STATED IN AN ANSWER TO A QUESTION
I GOT THIS TO BE ABLE TO POUR LIQUIDS INTO A 3 GALLON BPA-FREE PLASTIC JUG WITH AN OPENING OF 1 AND 3/8 INCHES. SINCE SOMEONE ANSWERED A QUESTION ABOUT THE FUNNEL SIZE SAYING IT WAS 1" AT THE BOTTOM AND GOT PROGRESSIVELY WIDER TOWARDS THE BOWL OF THE FUNNEL, I THOUGHT IT WOULD FIT. THE SIZE IS NOT 1" AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FUNNEL IT IS 2" FROM THE OUTSIDE EDGES OF THE FUNNEL WHERE YOU WANT IT TO FIT INTO AN OPENING. OTHERWISE, IT IS A STURDY LITTLE FUNNEL WITH A LITTLE HANDLE AND A HANDY LITTLE PLASTIC SCREEN. IT IS EASY TO CLEAN IN THE DISHWASHER OR BY HAND.

Canning Funnel
The canning funnel works great to fill Food Saver bags.

Strainer will not stay in place
The strainer disc is a separate piece that seems as if it would snap into place near the bottom of the spout, but it does not. Although it cannot fall through the opening in the spout, it too easily moves enough (either sideways or rotating away from being completely flat in the spout) to allow stuff to bypass the strainer.

Purchased for a weird reason
Bought this so I could squeeze my kids elf on the shelf in a balloon for a trick. Took a little elbow grease, but it worked!

Serves its purpose
I have the large green funnel from Ball canning supplies and use it so often a second one was necessary. This is close to the size of the Ball brand but a little shorter spout and smaller rim. I def prefer to use my ball funnel over this However it is still used as a backup.
