Exactly like the old cast iron secateurs I had years ago, but lighter.

Owning these and the Felcos, it's superficially hard to tell em apart. The Amtechs are quite a bit lighter, suggesting lower spec materials, otherwise they're nicely balanced.Unfortunately, they haven't copied the engineering where it counts, esp the bolt nut and lock device that has been moulded into a blanchmange shape that is hard to grip. The screws that hold the cams required the addition of a spring washer before they would stay tight. They didn't arrive very sharp but a short meeting with a sharpening stone fixed that.I'd say these are not the last word in quality but they are pretty good value if you're happy to make the simple adjustments I have.

I guess you get what you pay for. Ridiculously cheap - but still not worth it. It did prune a few stems but could feel the blades were not brilliant. More importantly, the little safety catch was completely loose, did not work at all. A danger to keep secateurs permanently open.

Used these for cutting down enough tree branches and bushes to park my car where it had all overgrown. Was very impressed with how easily they cut and got the job done quickly!
