It works well. Solid. You may need a dedicated led set to correct frequency to use in 2024!
Works great but you may need a dedicated light to make it work now a days.I used this stroboscopic disc to help me adjust my record players speeds which were running slightly (and audibly) slow.Stroboscopic discs like this only work when you have a light source that pulses (not visible to us) at the correct frequency. When the correct frequency of light is present your eyes will see an optical effect. When your turn table is operating at the correct speed the square links of the rings on the disc will appear to stop rotating and become static. When the image is static the correct speed has been achieved.Incandescent bulbs operate at the desired frequency but most incandescent house lights have been replaced with LED bulbs which don't operate at the desired frequency. Now a days you can buy what look like a small torch which has an LED set to the correct frequency.I found a seller on eBay who makes these battery sized hand held lights for £20.

Simple to set up
had to go on u tube to see how to use it, had to use a lead light that still had an incandescent bulb in it,but it did show my RP3 was running fast, which I corrected on the new power supply

Turntable Speed Calibration
Though this product is a necessary item in any audiophiles war chest, the Pro-Ject Stroboscope disc is very expensive for what it does.Granted, the disc will sell in low volumes but £25 was expensiveUsing the disc on my old belt driven Technics TT, I found both 331/3 and 45 rpm speeds were off center by a long way.Using the Pro-Ject Stroboscope disc and turntable pitch controls to recalibrate the speeds was a breeze. An old halogen desk lamp being the only other item required to complete the job.The reverse side of the disc has markings for checking and setting cartridge alignment relative to vinyl surface.I would recommend purchasing this item.

Great quality and accurate
Brilliant product. Bit more expensive than some others but great build quality and will definitely last a long time. Got my turntable to correct speed in no time at all.

I bought it for the cartridge alignment feature which is a lot better than over priced cardboard ones that are out there
Does exactly what says on th tin. I bought it for the cartridge alignment feature which is a lot better than over priced cardboard ones that are out there. Being acrylic and 2mm in thickness it can also help as an acoustic platter mat

Good piece of equipment to have.
Very well made thick plastic disc with clear strobe markings. It's a bit expensive for what it is, but it will last forever & is well worth it if you have spent £1000's on your turntable. Would have been nice to have had some simple instructions on how best to use it, but this question has been asked several times before if you check out the Pro-Ject website.
