The reviews of the SU-9 Pro were impressive but I was concerned about it being shipped from China with unknown customs charges etc. I contacted the seller with my concerns. They responded quickly assuring me that all charges were included in the price and there should be no additional charges.And so it was. In fact it was delivered ahead of schedule.Overall: Excellent service.I'm not qualified to give a proper review of the sound quality other than it sounds good to my ears.My one complaint is that while it has 3 inputs, of differing types, it's a bit cumbersome to switch between them. As it happens I don't need to do it very often, so a very muted complaint :)

I have this dac connected to my Bluesound Node then onto my Rotel 1572 mk 2, amplifier, finally to my Kef R5 speakers.The dac is simply brilliant. It has deep powerful tightly controlled bass.The overall sound is open and revealing.Tough to beat at this price point.Recommended.

I was looking for a Bluetooth receiver and DAC I could use to stream Amazon Prime HD from an Android mobile phone and laptop using a (near) lossless Bluetooth protocol, either LDAC or AptX HDI was disappointed that that Bluetooth reception was problematic from a laptop in the same room as the SU-9 PRO, causing breakups on the stream. NB I was using 'Alternative A2DP Driver' on the Windows 10 laptop to implement the LDAC codec. An iFi ZEN Blue V2 didn't have these issues. Connection from an Android phone to the SU-9 PRO was fine.The DAC in the SU-9 PRO is far superior to that of the iFi ZEN Blue V2, as you'd hope given it's nearly three times the price. The SU-9 PRO sounded open, lively and musical. That said, I felt it was voiced to suite pop/rock; for classical it was slightly too 'shouty'.What I didn't care for was the plethora of undocumented features (PCM Filter, DSD Filter, Sound Colour, DPLL) to adjust the DAC. I'd have expected the suppliers to explain what these filters did singly and in combination. I wanted the supplier to provide an optimised product, maybe good if you like tinkering!MQA wasn't something I could test as I don't subscribe to Tidal but if you do, I can see why you'd want that option.Output connections are good with RCA and XLR plus the output level can be fixed or variable to connect directly to active speakers.If I not experienced using an iFi ZEN Blue V2 plus external DAC, I'd probably have carried on using the SU-9 PRO. As desktop DAC to active speakers I think It would be fine, but it doesn't quite make the grade for a place in a hi-fi system.

I dac hanno raggiunto un livello di qualità impensabile fino a pochi anni fa. Sulla fascia dei 500 euro si ottiene in più una definizione del suono, un dettaglio e un palcoscenico impensabili nella fascia entry level, ottimi per la classica e pezzi musicali complessi.

Une fois installé (sans difficulté) le son est transformé totalement. Il est plus détaillé, plus d'ampleur, plus de tout. Je suis très content. Oui, sa existe du bon chinois et en plus le prix est sans conteste bas pour avoir cette haute qualité en hi-fi. N'hésitez pas à remplacer votre Dac, le mien était un audio-gd déjà performant. This Dac is amazing. It has only positive reviews on Youtube. I can confirm that. It is very clear and crisp sounding and put the experience from my former Dac (Teac UD-501) to higher level altough that is still a very good Dac too. It plays MQA-streams from Tidal effortlessly and everything else you throw at it via USB, optical or coax. Also bluetooth at high resolutions. Unfortunately my Galaxy S22 (ultra) only supports Aptx and no higher resolutions (like Aptx-HD) but that is a problem from the Mobile (WHY Samsung???) and not the Dac.I must mention that I had a problem with the Dac at first not playing bitrates 48, 96, and 192 Khz on USB connection.After much research I found out that this was due to to the DAC / driver not always properly locking on the USB signal. This can be avoided by putting on the Dac on BEFORE the PC. now everything works as it should. The guys from Shenzhen audio on Amazon where very quick with their reply's on my questions regarding this subject. Although I eventually figuered out the problem myself I applaud them for their support. This is a VERY good Dac at the price. I combined it with the S.M.S.L SH-9 Headfone amp. This stack drives my Focal's Elear and Clear to new heights.

Przesiadłem się ze standardowego su9 na su9pro. Czuć większą dynamikę oraz szerszą scenę. Brzmienie wydaje się trochę jaśniejsze.Wszystko działa tak jak powinno - nie mam żadnych problemów z wejściami (coax i bt), jednak nie parowałem tego jeszcze przez USB - docelowo nie będę podpinać pod PC tylko pod sprzętowy streamer, wtedy będę mieć jakąś opinię.Na ten moment jestem bardziej niż zadowolony, jednak na pytanie, czy warto dopłacać do wersji pro nie jestem w stanie odpowiedzieć, to jest indywidualna decyzja.

This DAC has a first class sound. Big space, great details, strong dynamics. The issue is that it is NOT a plug and play item, and using with1 Windows you have to install the driver. Which bugs, so sometimes PC does not recognise the DAC. I am still thinking to resend it, altough I love the sound.
