Nuolux 1.5 – 3 cm Wooden Log Slices / Discs for DIY Crafts - Wedding Centrepiece - 100 Items

Brilliant little pieces, perfect for craft work of all descriptions, only your imagination is needed!I've seen some comments stating they aren't log slices at all but are actually branch slices. Well, they're certainly small enough for branch slices but the rings indicate they're a good few years old. Either way, I think it's irrelevant, it's what you do with them which matters.They're not fresh cuttings, which means you can get started working them straight away. I've stored them in a container with the packet of Silica Crystals they were shipped with to absorb any stray moisture but I don't think it'll be a problem. I would advise sealing them with some good wood oil after you have finished working them to prevent them from cracking but that's a personal preferance. Amazon do a good selection of wood oils but I find Danish Wood Oil works very well and it's pretty cheap, around £8 or so for 500ml which actually goes a surprisingly long way on small projects.There's a good selection of different sizes, I've attached a picture of them spread out on an A3 cutting mat to give an indication of scale. The grid size is 10mm square per square, it should be enough to give you an idea of the varying sizes (I'm too lazy to measure them individually, so I hope my small effort helps!).Would definitely buy again, very happy!

I ordered these as an alternative to the plastic bases that come with 28mm figures. Just something a bit different from the ugly black plastic things. Also, because I'm getting lazy in my old age and can't be bothered to paint and dress the plastic bases. These are an ideal size for that purpose and are attractive on their own. But, being a natural resource, it rather inspired me to dress them in ways that I couldn't be bothered with the plastic bases.So be warned, there's a good chance these may inspire you and create more work.Having said that, the finished figures and bases look so nice, that I might buy some larger pieces for some of the vinyl figures I have.Excellent product at a good price. I can recommend these for a variety of craft projects - my daughter and wife have filched half of this bundle, so I may need to order more soon.

Piece's to small for children, fine for adults doing small art or craft projects

First let's acknowledge that as a natural product there is variation batch to batch so I can only comment on the numbers for my particular delivery. The items arrived sealed in a plastic bag with a sachet of silica gel, the gel is rather inadequate to be honest, there's a sensation of very mild dampness to them but nothing you can see, presenting itself more if you try to sand one right out of the bag. I'm sure a few hours in open air will fix that though and certainly for my use it is not a problem at all.Now the numbers. The delivered quantity was exactly 100. The breakdown of sizes (approximate given many are not exactly round and trying to group them reasonably by size range) 5 @ 3cm+, 25 @ 2.5-3cm, 24 @ 2.3-2.4cm, 24 at close to 2cm and 20 around 1.5-1.7cm. Only 2 items were under 1.5cm, but the smallest single items was 1.3cm. So in all fairness their size description was pretty good.The bark was well adhered to the wood. All in all I'm happy with this spread of sizes and the appearance and surface finish (while I wouldn't call it polished it did flat easily with reasonable fine paper).So despite the (very) minor comment about silica gel I'm calling this a good purchase.

Not really sure what happened here. I’ve been ordering these packs consistently for the past 6 months or so, and they’ve always been nice, round pine wood pieces on various sizes but with consistent coloring. This time, I got 2 bags with a different type of wood, inconsistent coloring to a lot of them, and the shapes are not as round so they’re harder for me to pair up to make earrings and hair pins. I’m worried I’ll need to find a new source as this one was a curve ball I wasn’t ready for with some big inventory deadlines coming up and different materials I need to somehow meld into the same product I’ve been producing.

Perfect to use for ‘noughts and crosses’ counters.

Great for what I wanted. I needed a lot of same size and got 2 full 24 sets of very similar sized pieces with plenty left over

Half of them were broken and the size difference was HUGE! Some were a good size and what I expected however at least half the bag were tiny, so small they were completely useless for anything and much smaller than 1.5cm!

li ho usati per creare pedine e piedistalli per giochi da tavolo... sono ben tagliati, l'uica cosa è che la corteccia si stacca in alcuni abbastanza facilmente, ma se si vuole si puo sempre incollare facilmente... diciamo che sono 1/3 grandi e nei restanti 2/3 ci sono dimensioni piu vicine ai limiti inferiori, ma per quello che dovevo fare io e a quel prezzo direi che sono piu che soddisfatto!!!!

Li ho usati per pirografarci delle rune! Sono estremamente lisci e curati, il prezzo è un tantinello sopra il vero valore di fettine di legno, ma non le ho trovate a meno. Ottime per lavori di bricolage e creativi in generale. Sono di varie dimensioni oscillanti tra 1 cm e i 3 quindi se vi servono tanti dischetti di un'unica misura, in questa confezione purtroppo è casuale il numero di quelli piccoli, medi e grandi.

Dischi di legno naturale con corteccia visibile e superficie levigata e sicura da usare.Si può facilmente scrivere, incidere, dipingere o incollare. Tuttavia, le dimensioni sono ridotte.
