Cannot fault it.
Having read some of the reviews commenting on set up problems I was a tad apprehensive. Looked like a great bit of gear apart from that so I bit the bullet and ordered it. Took me about 5 minutes to connect it and be up and running. Really easy, just following the instructions in the quick set up guide. I'm using it, via the ethernet connection, to my desktop PC in my home office in the garage. Which is detached from the house and the signal has to go through the house wall (cavity block and brick) and the garage wall (brick and drylined and insulated) with about a fifteen foot gap between the house and garage.Works perfectly, and gives me a much better connection than the BT 610 Wi-Fi extender which I had before and had started to give me problems.I cannot fault it so far, and am more than happy with the performance. As an added bonus it is a very small and neat unit, even with the external antennae, and I can use both sockets in the double wall outlet no problem.I'm just adding to this review as it's almost six months on from purchase, and I'm pleased to report that everything is still working wonderfully. No problems at all and it's been on constantly in that time. Never had to reset or adjust settings. I can thoroughly recommend this item. For all those, like myself. Who pore over reviews and specs prior to making what I hope will be an informed purchase. This is another update as of November 2021, so over three years after purchase, and it's still working beautifully. I am now on BT's FTTP with their latest Smart Hub2 and it integrated with it perfectly. In my opinion anything electronic at this price point that is still giving perfect service after the best part of four years pretty much continuous service deserves top marks.

It works in my detached garage!
I took a bit of a risk buying this - wanted it to extend my Wifi signal to my detached garage at the end of the garden so as I could install a CCTV camera at the back of the garage (recent break in) - wasn't sure it would extend that far. To my amazement, the Wifi extender worked when I plugged it in to a power outlet in my detached garage at the bottom of the back garden (my router is at the front of the house, in the living room) - probably about 60ft in distance! Was initially planning to put the extender ib nmy kitchen at the back of the house and see if the signal would extend to the garage. It did - I then tested it the detached garage, on the off chance - couldn't believe it worked! However, please note the set up process of the extender via the webpages is far from straight forward (I don't have a WPS button on my Sky router) - the process failed at quite a few attempts and you have to clear your browser history after each unsuccessful attempt, in order to get the set up webpage to reload - I found this out after googling set up process and reading others' suggestions after they had trouble settign up! In my opinion, Netgear have made the process needlessly difficult (other reviews have also noted this point). It would be useful if they would facilitate the set up process via an app (which some of their other products allow for). If you have a WPS button on your router, I gather form other reviews, the set up process is simple. Also, if you have an ethernet socket on your laptop / pc (which I don't ) the process also sounds more straightforward. After eventually setting the extender up, I'm really happy with the signal range of the product. I'm obviously hoping the signal will last - so far, so good!

NETGEAR EX2700-100UKS 300 Mbps Wi-Fi Range Extender (Wi-Fi Booster) Silver- EXCELLENT!
NETGEAR EX2700-100UKS 300 Mbps Wi-Fi Range Extender (Wi-Fi Booster) SilverSold and Dispatched by AmazonI live in a big house with ground floor, floor 1 and floor 2. The original internet router given by my Internet Service Provider, was too far away from my devices (laptop, smartphone) when I was on the top floor. I was getting 1 bar internet signal and many of the times no signal/internet at all! Then, I knew I had to get a Wi-Fi extender and found this!- The "#1 Best Seller in Wireless Access Points" on Amazon and I agree. The item was delivered quick and packed adequately. It's a good size and fits a UK 3-pin socket. Installation was easy-peasy. All I had to do was plug it close to my current router, switch it on, and press the "WPS" on the Wi-Fi extender and then press the "WPS" on the router (you can also connect via browser. Instructions given). Waited a minute and it was connected. Then, I unplugged the Wi-Fi extender and moved it to a location where the Wi-Fi signal is weak (top floor). Then, I had to connect my devices (smartphone, laptop...) by searching for the Wi-Fi device and connecting to it...The Wi-Fi-Extender would be named [***Your existing Wi-Fi network name***_EXT]. For example, "TalkTalk1234_EXT". You'll be asked to enter password your current Wi-Fi password. All of this (the name and the password to access the Extender can be changed via [www. mywifiext.net]. Username: admin, Password: password. This can be changed to. Note, you must be connected to the extender to change these settings. All of these instructions are included. So, I connected the extender on the top floor (where it was 0-1 bar signal with the previous router) and the internet was good for a few minutes. I then realise that although I had excellent/highest signal, Internet was not working. Many others experienced this problem and returned it. I then plugged the extender on the 1st floor, where the signal would normally be 2-3 bars with the router. Then, it worked. No internet problem or loss of connection for more than a month.I RECOMMEND PLACING THE EXTENDER IN AN AREA WHERE YOU WOULD NORMALLY GET 2-3 SIGNAL BAR STRENGTH IF YOU WERE USING YOUR ROUTER PROVIDED BY YOUR INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER. If you place the extender in an area where you normally get NO Wi-Fi signal or only 1 bar (weak) signal, it will not work. You can check this by using your smartphone- move to a location where you get 'medium signal' when connect to your main router, and then place the extender there. So I placed mine on the 1st floor instead of the top floor. Works brilliantly. No problems. If your device does not support Wi-Fi but can have internet on it, then you can get an Ethernet cable and plug it into the Ethernet port located at the bottom of the extender and connect it to your device. When I go to sleep, I sometimes switch the extender off. Next morning, put it back on, No problem (no setting the extender all over again or anything. Turns on within a minute.)100% recommend this Wi-Fi Extender. I will give an update after a year. And remember, when buying electrical devices (and even other expensive items) such as smartphones, laptops, network adapters, DVD players, even USBs, etc... Always buy from "Sold and Dispatched by Amazon". - avoid third party sellers and even "fulfilled" sellers as it would reduce the chance of you getting a defect, less hassle if a problem was to occur and getting a genuine product.-----------UPDATE-------------(After 1 year)Nothing to report other than it's work absolutely fine. I'm getting the same Internet speed as if I was connected to the main router.I have changed the log-in password for the Extender and the main router- which I recommend everyone doing to increase security. : If you let ANYONE use your Wifi (i.e. your friend), they can use the default log-in info and change the router settings and mess things up- then you have to call out a network engineer to fix it= incur costs. Also, anyone would be able to block you from the Wifi using the device's Media Access Control (MAC) address, which is a unique identifier for a network device. This Extender has the ability to do this via an Access Control List (ACL). Sounds complicated but it can be done. All good so far. Internet connection never went down. Still recommend.-------------------------------------Any questions regarding about this item, please leave a comment and I'll get back to you ASAP.I really hope this helps you :)
