I use it mainly for my miter saw to shop vac, but I'll also plug in whatever other machine I'm using at the time (router table, sander, radial arm) to the shop vac. Can go back & forth without plugging & unplugging equipment. Love the manual bypass options. Gonna get a couple more for my wood shop. Have I mentioned that this thing is awesome?!

This is my 4th vacuum receptacle, but this one includes a button where you can switch from auto, off and on. I leave the shop vac plugged in and when I need it for regular use, unhook from the equipment and switch receptacle to on, easy.

This is the second one I bought at a great price on Prime Day, after the first one works so well. I have used it for months now on my portable table saw, compound miter saw and Bosch hammer drill for concrete drilling. No complaints, no issues.

In my case, I use a 40 year old Bosch shop vac with my portable power Miter box and table saw.It’s annoying running back and forth to the Bosch vac to turn it on and off and because the vac is old, it’s loud and annoying.I thought about getting a new shop vac with this sort of a switch built in but some of those switches have very low power handling capacity like 6 amps. Plus my Bosch vac and I have a LONG history together - we’re “connected” and we are both loud and annoying.What I like about this switch:- 15 amp capacity- can plug in two machines that power up the vac when turned on- adjustable delay so don’t blow breakers on machine startup- 2 mounting methods included. I created a 3rd mounting method with the 3/4 inch birch plywoodWhat I don’t like:- wish it had a metal enclosure, not plastic- wish the 110 volt pigtail was a bit longer, like 2 feetAs I mentioned, I added a piece of 3/4” birch plywood to act as a base for this switch to prevent tipping and damage.The plywood base also makes the switch mobile when I’m moving the saws and vac to different locations.Overall, I really like this product. I have had two of these for almost two years and are used almost daily on the job and work perfectly. I ordered another brand a couple months back for another saw, it was a few dollars cheaper and worked great until the return window had closed by two days and it quit. It's a bit more money that some of the others but will be the only one I buy moving forward.

It’s Automatic. Turn on the tool, the vacuum turns on. Great idea. Saves time and, of course it’s good for your health because you don’t even have to think twice about turning on your dust collection/ vacuum system.

I have my table saw and router hooked up to my DC with this and it works great. I like that DC runs a little longer the tools.

I have both a table saw and planer connected to this unit, with the shop vac situated under my outfeed/assembly table. It seems like it wouldn't be that much of a pain to just switch on the shop vac when needed, but it improves the workflow when you don't need to worry about it. Just start the saw, and the vacuum kicks on. I also like the adjustability of the length of time the vacuum will stay on. If you have long lines or just want to make sure the dust hose is clear you can set it for 7 or 10 seconds. Or for a short run or small tool, 3 seconds. It's definitely one of those purchases that made me think "Why didn't I get this sooner?".

This is a great addition to any one cutting and needing to have an automatic turn on for a vacuum.
