nippon kodoOsmanthus Kayuragi Incense 40 sticks

I first encountered this incense at a hot springs resort in Japan, and was thrilled to learn I could buy it on Amazon. It's a lovely fragrance, and a reminder of a great trip!

I LOVE this scent. It's not smoky, complex, subtle but very present. Kayuragi incense are head and shoulders above every other incense I've used over the years.The Osmanthus in particular smells like fresh, air dried linen from a clothesline on a summer day on Martha's Vineyard. Fresh and floral and light but bodiful. I love it as a morning meditation energy.

This is my first brush with incense and this product really came through with everything I wanted. The smell is quite pleasant, not the stereotypical head shop incesnse smell you may think of.... this is much more pleasant, complex, and sophisticated. The burn time is quick as mentioned by other reviewers but I don't mind that part. It also comes with a minimal stand so you can get started right away. I'll order more scents from this brand and likely invest in a better stand for it.

It does burn quickly unfortunately. I wish the fragrance would last a bit longer.

Got this for my husband's meditation area. Osmanthus is also known as a Japanese tea olive, cousin to both jasmine and lilac. I have never smelled one in person. Like all floral incense it tends to smell like burning flowers. But it is a warm peaceful sent.Unexpectedly, the box the incense sticks came in is a very sturdy little wooden box. It also contained a small black tile that acts as an incense holder.I will look forward to buying more from this brand.

I WORK IN CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND DEALING WITH THE PUBLIC GETS TO BE MIND BLOWING AND STRESSFUL. AS SOON AS I GET HOME I'LL LIGHT UP AN NIPPON OSMANTHUS INCENSE. BELIVE IT OR NOT SMELLING THIS SCENT IS HEAVENLY. OSMANTHUS IS NOT AS STRONG AS MOST INCENSE AND IT DOESNT HAVE THAT BLACK SMOKE WHEN 1ST LIT. IT HAS A LIGHT FLORAL, FRUITY SORTA TEMPLE SCENT ALMOST LIKE " ZEN!" I ALWAYS LIGHT UP AN INCENSE IN MY BEDROOM BEFORE BED AND IT REALLY SMELLS DIVINE!!! AS FOR THE COST IT COULD BE $7.99 or $8.99 WOULD BE PERFECT. ONE MORE THING THIS INCENSE DOES BURN QUICK, WISH THE STICKS WERE LIKE THE AVERAGE INCENSE STICKS. EXCELLENT SCENT 😄😄😄

This KAYURAGI - Osmanthus incense smells divine~! The only down-side is that each stick is very short and only burns for about 15-20 minutes each. We used it during the New Year to purify the air in our home and generate a pleasant aroma.

Went to Japan recently and fell in love with the Osmanthus tree’s scent. Bought a bunch of Osmanthus scented stuff in the hopes of smelling it at home. This product does not smell like the tree at all. At least not like the ones in Japan (I know there are other varieties, so maybe it’s supposed to smell like those?). To me, it smells like musk/spices, not the sweetness you’d expect from the yellow Osmanthus flowers. Maybe I’ll use them in the bathroom or something, but won’t be purchasing again.

I ordered this incense without knowing how it smelt, and it turned out to be a great purchase. This is now one of my favourite incense varieties. It is a complex, slightly sweet smell without being too cloying. Highly recommend.
