Love it so much, I'm buying another one. I'm a big gal, and I worried about ordering something with spaghetti straps and lace trim, for fear the gown would fall apart the moment I rolled over in bed. On the contrary, it is so well-designed and constructed I can tell it will hold up for years. It washes beautifully and is very comfortable to sleep in. I wear a 2X in clothing and debated ordering a 2X or a 1X, because I know from experience that nightgowns usually run large. I ordered the 2X but am going with the 1X on the next one. I read some negative reviews about it being too long and of inferior quality, and can only guess that these folks did not bother to read how long the gown is (53") or that it is made of nylon. My gown measured 54" from top to bottom, which is pretty close to the mark. The nylon fabric is not flimsy and see-through like some cheap nightgowns, AND, the hem did not roll up in the wash, as it has on some bargain nylon nightgowns I have bought (and thrown away). I have worn long nylon nightgowns all my life, and I know a couple brands, including Shadowline and Miss Elaine, can always be relied upon for quality gowns. They do tend to use heavier nylon than some bargain brands. This time, I was looking for something a little more glamorous than my usual butterfly sleeve number, and this gown fits the bill perfectly. It's elegant and a tad bit sexy, without being too revealing.

I bought two of these gowns 22years ago and except for fading from being laundered, they are still as good as new. Who would ever have thought that a nightgown could hold up to nearly nightly use? But these do. So, 8 years ago I bought two more. Still good? You bet ! However a button fell off the blue nightie. In this order I was looking for a yellow version of this gown. Alas it doesn’t come in yellow. I bought the black one. Guess what? A button has already fallen off. It has only been washed once. (I wash everything before wearing.). On first wearing the button fell off. Looks like quality control needs to investigate how they are sewing on embellishments. Can you count on these gowns to last? Forever apparently.

My mother-in-law is size 2X, and these fit her. They were made well, the design was classic but unexpected in that size range. I was happy I had found something so nice for her.

I am so glad I finally got this gown. I hesitated for a long time because I have another Shadowline gown in a different style, that was a huge disappointment because it is very sheer and flimsy and see-through. I was afraid this one would be the same but it is NOT. Not even close. This nightgown is just beautiful. It is the perfect combination of lightweight and cool, yet modest, there is no see-through factor (I got the black one).I love it so much that I'm probably going to buy a second gown just in case they stop making it. Do not hesitate to get this nightgown, it is very soft and beautiful! Great value too!*********Update********** I removed two stars from the review. I'm sorry to say that after only two weeks of light wear, the strap broke. I could have sewn it back on but the strap is supposed to be braided and I didn't want one braided strap and one loose strap. They did offer a free return though so I will do that. I'm going to go ahead and order another gown to replace it based on all the positive reviews here, I'm assuming the next gown will not fall apart so quickly. Fingers crossed.

These are very well made. The fabric is high quality and drapey thus making it also modest as well. The straps are comfortable even though they are braided in the fabric is very soft. I bought two in each color and all of them have held up well with washing and wear.

I bought one of these nightgowns months ago after much deliberating due to the price of it but let me tell you I am sorry that I waited so long. Theses are the most comfortable nightgowns I have ever worn. I ordered a size up because I like billowy and long gowns. I am soon to be purchasing one in every color available. 10 out of 5 stars. Totally worth it.

The best nightgown I have had in over 30 years! I ordered a 3X in black and am very pleased. It is not see-through, it covers well, and is so pretty and comfortable. And cool! Rolling over in bed is a breeze! It doesn't bunch up like cotton nightgowns. It's not hot like knit nightgowns. The back dips low and the braided straps are soft, affording the feeling of sleeping au natural. The design engineers did a wonderful job because the straps don't fall off my shoulders and even in a 3X the front is flattering and well-proportioned. The lace is not scratchy. The gown floats as I walk and the fabric is wonderfully cool. The "lettuce edge" is a nice touch, too. I am going to order another one. If you are looking for a nice nightgown for yourself or to give as a gift, this is a great choice. It is very well made, pretty, and comfortable.

Bought it for my wife as a alternative to her regular nightySHE LOVES IT!!!!Light on and cool to the touch and she says it feels so silky on and can move in bed in it without it getting stuck and tangled in fact she says it's like not wearing anything in bed it's soo comfortable and cool !!!!.She says that it makes her feel like a princess it's that good !!!A excellent product well worth the money 👍Will definitely be buying again !!!.P.s. sexy and elegant without trying to hard .

I LOVE these night gowns!!They just hang well on the body, and feel nice.I have 2 now, and I wish that they had more of a verity of colors.These travel well, as they don't really rinkle.Also, it takes a while to deliver, so order early if you're wanting them for a trip.

This is one of the prettiest gowns for a very large plus sized woman I have seen. I bought it in black, 3X. Lace is soft, pretty hem and straps. Of course nylon is always going to feel a little "plastic/man-made" to the touch but it is smooth and feels good against the body. I wear size 26-28 plus sized Levis and 4X tops and it was still loose and flowing without being shapeless.

I usually like to buy satin nightgowns but tried this for a change and was pleasantly surprised. Good quality, comfort. Perfect length (I'm 5'3" and it comes just below my ankles). I bought the black but may buy another colour although, to be honest, the other colours are kind of insipid.

Really nice quality. Nice design. Nice material. I'm an 18-20 . The 2x fit nicely. The 3x fit a little big but nothing to interfere with use. I ordered 3x in spaghetti strap for nightgown. Because they didnt have 2x. An ordered the 2x with sleeve to be like a house coat over. Fit great. Beautiful design. Works great as a set.
