Transformers Vintage Beast Wars Optimus Primal Action Figure

I thought my 8 yr old wouldn't be impressed due to this being simple looking but he loves it. He carries it around everywhere and talks about all the projectiles that shoot from it.

My memory of my early childhood is not perfect, so I cannot attest to the authenticity of the box, but the Transformer itself is almost exactly the same as one of my favorite Transformers from when I was a child. I wanted this Transformer so desperately when I was a child, but I could never find it in a store. Seeing this now (even 25 years later) is like a dream come true to my younger self.I thought that I would have to pay premium prices for a replica of one of my most desired childhood toys (from collectors) if I ever wanted one, but this is as good as I could have reasonably hoped to get one to put up on a shelf. I remember back in the late 90s this toy being rather expensive, so to get a replica of this quality at close to (or below) the original MSRP 25 years later is a deal I could not pass up.I am very glad with this purchase as a fan of the original Beast Wars Transformers toys. I cannot tell how someone without this nostalgia would respond to this toy, but I do not think they are the target demographic for this particular item.

Arrived on time. The box was in good condition. My only complaint is that some of the joints were a little stiff at first which made transforming it into robot mode difficult. I ultimately had to detach the chest plate and put it back on but after I did that everything was good. The toy was packaged in beast mode, so must’ve gotten stiff from not being used. Also all the weapons and accessories were included, which was nice.I recommend this product to anyone who grew up with or who loves transformers.

Reminds me of the Optimus Primal I bought 25 or so years ago, proudly displaying it on one of my entertainment centers. Can recommend!

It may not have complex transformation steps, it may not have the perfect same look as the character in the tv series, but it’s a lot of fun. It’s nice to have something like this to remind the fun we had when we were young.
