Svbony SV503 102F7 Telescope Refractor, ED Lens Achromatic OTA, Extra Low Dispersion, Dual Speed RAP Focuser, Telescope for Deep Sky Astrophotography and Visual

This is an inexpensive ED refractor Optical Tube, inexpensive relative to most ED refractors of the same appeture and quality. However, mechanically and optically it is outstanding, regardless of price point. The scope has a substantial and rotatable focuser, which is dual speed allowing for very precise focus and appears to be CNC machined. There is not a single piece of plastic on the scope. Due to the ED glass, there is no discernible chromatic aberration on planets or any objects (although I have not used it for astrophotography). Stars are pin-point and contrast is excellent. I have no regrets having bought this, and little desire to use my other scope (a celestron C5) as the SVbony is considerably better. However, in this appeture it is a hefty piece of equipment and therefore needs a substantial mount.

SVbony are quite new here in the uk, but they are quality at a great price. this is a brilliant scope for astro photography (if that's what you are looking for) or for just star gazing. The image is clear sharp and i could see NO abrasions stars are very sharp and clear, the moon is beautiful, Jupiter amazing you can see the bands easily and i haven't seen Saturn yet due to the poor weather but i have no doubt will be a joy through this scope. Deep sky objects will be great astro photography targets with this scope. the scope is made to an high standard and the focuser feels quality. I am very pleased with this scope and would recommend.

I've not properly used the telescope yet, but after watching positive reviews, demos and tutorials on SVBony and this telescope I decided to purchase it. There's still a couple of items I'm yet to buy, but I cannot wait to start using this telescope! So far the quality is excellent with sturdy dials, focuser and scope. It feel premium.

There is little doubt that the build quality is amazing but I have not been able to focus on any objects day time or night using all 4 eyepieces offered by this company, you rotate the adjustment to focus on the object the object, planet is just about to come into focus but the dial runs out of adjustment and the image remains blurred,I have read reviews about the 102 model have such a problem,I have emailed svbony but no response ,unable to get an answer from their phone but neither svbony nor amazon make it easy to find which adapter to get .Update 06/01/23:Managed to sort out the focusing problem with help from a YouTuber ,had to get an extension tube and now it is in focus ,the images are amazing, lovely telescope ,I am keeping it .

Love this telescope but am 100% a noob and havent got a clue what i am doing, however! within 2 nights i managed to get these shots with the scope.

Well worth the money. The Rosette Nebula was taken without the field flattener hence the stars at the edges are not round. These are only 5 x 300s exposures on a dslr as a test shot. Definitely recommend. Great seller, replies to all enquiriesEdit. Added couple of more shots

Average, uninspiring

Once again I find myself buying SvBony, you just can’t overlook the quality of these scopes at a price that is affordable for beginners or professional astrophotographers, I’m trying to get my hands on more of the SvBony astrophotography kit to put it to test against my skywatcher gear as the costs are impressive
