HLT M.2 NGFF NVMe Key M to PCIe 3.0 X16 Extension Cable (90° Right Angle PCI-E Slot)

Leaving a review since there are no other written reviews.I was dumb and bought a motherboard that wouldn’t support my Elgato 4K Pro with its extra PCIE slots, because they run PCIE Gen4x1… So instead of looking for a new mobo, I looked to use my extra M.2 slot. This thing plugs into my Gen5 M.2 slot and the resultant PCIE connection shows Gen3x4, which is good enough for 4K60 HDR!Wish it was a little more flexible, but it works!

Tried this thing in multiple devices and could never get it to do anything. Bought the EXP GDC and never looked back at this piece of junk.

I used a thunderbolt storage device to interface with this and a GPU. It gave my aging laptop a new life.

These things are somewhat janky by nature so beware. It did not work at all in my case. i will not be buying anything of this category again. I will also be returning this.

The adapter worked for about a day before it started acting erratically, and then failed to provide data to my PCIe card. Upon closer inspection I found that the ribbon cable had zero strain relief where it was soldered to the PCIe connector PCB and thus most of the pins had sheared off. Giving it 1 star because it technically did work but broke after the ribbon cable had been wiggled around a few times. The only way I'd buy this again is if I were going to put it into a chassis, secure it down entirely, and then never touch it again.
