I have to preface this review with the fact I am 66 and have been riding straight bar bikes.I got a good deal on a Cannondale R800. The bars were 400mm center to center and I found the bike to be way to twichie for me. I was almost afraid to ride it around traffic as I did not feel in control.Looking for a wider bar I came across this which solved several problems for me. The rise and backsweep put the bars more where I like them and without a stem riser. The wider length got my arms out for more leverage, and got rid of the twichie feeling.I ride the hoods, so I coupled these bars with set of Gevenalle CX shifters. Match made in heaven.The bar has index marks on it that are accurately placed an made fitting out easy. This company sells really long bar tape however I did not need it. I tape opposite many people, and I like it that way. I started at the last index mark on the bars, free end of the tape on the bottom. Make one wrap up and over the bar pulling to the back of the bike. Worked my way down and had plenty to spare. No electrical tape which oozes in Florida heat.This bar looks cool, but most importantly it has placed me in a comfortable position and given me full control. Well done!I am going to purchase another set for a trail 4 that I use for less traveled roads.There are copies of these but not as nice. The fit and finish of these are perfect!Expensive, sort of.Worth it, definitely!

These bars literally changed my biking life for the better after struggling with trying to get my fit "just right". Especially without doing anything ridiculous with stem height. They look great (to me anyway), I love the way the profile of the bike looks as well as from the cockpit, they made my bike fit like a glove, I love the extra grip option of the front bars. These are easily the best single purchase upgrade I've made for a bike and a huge quality of life improvement.

Handlebar was good by design and added much comfort to the bike and how it rides.

Awesome bar. The rise, shallow drop, sweep-back, narrowish on the hoods and wide on the drops. This thing is the bomb. I'm 6'1" and the smallest size works great for me on my (56c) Surly Long Haul Trucker. About 400 miles on 'em so far, just ordered the same set-up for my Surly Pacer road bike.

I got the 53’s and boy oh boy are they massive. I typically run 44’s but went with the big haas’s for my grocery getter/ party bike. Love the flare on the drops, and have since added the cruise control drop grips. The big width feels amazing on trails and is a happy medium on the roads. Running them with a 60mm stem which feels appropriate

I only recently started gravel riding and found the original bar (38 cm) on my bike WAY too narrow (I'm used to mountain biking). I got the 50 cm bar and it made a huge difference. Much more comfortable and so much better control - especially when out of the saddle.I was tempted by a less expensive bar, but choose this one because of the extra rise and back sweep. I went all in and also got the REDSHIFT Cruise Control Grips and bar tape. Couldn't be happier with the total purchase.

Added this bar to my new bikepacking bike. Slight turn out on the drops for stability over rough stuff. The brifters tilt inward, which is more comfortable on long tour rides.Paired with their drop grip/bar combo gives you plenty of hand hold positions.

I have a size large bike (56 cm). Originally ordered the size 47 bar and sent it back as soon as I opened the box - I knew it was too narrow. I then discovered the sizing info on the Redshift website and size 50 was recommended for my size bike and that is what I bought. Long story short I love it and the loop gives me extra spots for my hands. People complain it’s heavy - it is 18 ounces so not “light” but the stock bar it’s replacing is 10.7 ounces and adding a bolt on aero bar would’ve added 4-6 more ounces, so it’s a wash on weight. The rise and overall dimensions work well for me. Worth the price and the weight penalty!!

I already had the Redshift seat post, stem, bar grips and inserts, so my collection is now complete with the addition of the this bar. You might say I had everything but the Kitchen Sink!I was considering switching to a flat bar bike to ease some of the stress points I've developed and was thinking they might be due to my narrower drop bar. When the Redshift bars went on special around Black Friday, I decided that the extra width offered by the 53cm bar might just alter my stance enough to address my issues. (And be cheaper than a new bike!)It worked! The absence of snow this Fall gave me over a full month to test this bar outdoors and it totally improved the feel and handling of my Checkpoint! Why didn't I buy this sooner?!
