My husband wanted a clock to keep accurate time as the one we had kept loosing about 5 minutes a month and we would have to reset it. In that retrospect, this one works well.He thought he picked out one that he would be able to see on the wall in the evening but since this is not backlit, he cannot unless it is in full light. It cannot be seen in the night. Since it is battery operated and does not have an option to have it plugged in, it would not have that function.It does have a button to show the screen lit up for a few seconds but if you had this on the wall like we do, that would not be a viable solution.

My mom has a hard time understanding what day of the week it was. I have this in her bedroom so that the day of the week is large and easy to read when she gets up in the morning. I've had other La Crosse products, so that was a strong factor in choosing this one.

I bought this for my elderly mother who is in a nursing home. She loves to know the time and asks me what day it is. So I bought this so she can know whenever she wants. The only problem I have is that there is no back light. I think it would be easier to see if there were a light.

Purchased this clock for my wonderful 83 year old Mom who does have difficulty remembering things. I selected this clock because it does not have a back light. Mom likes the room dark. And it is in the family room where there are night lights for safety. Mom does not object to the nightlights, but other lights are not welcomed. There are other models with backlights.The clock is easy to read and placed on a coffee table. Reasonably attractive as it does not appear to be cheap and has a nice finish on it. Mom does use the clock and mentions the date and day. This is helpful with her memory and allows her to have the information without asking. I know that sounds like a small thing to those of us with no memory loss, but it is huge for someone like my Mom. It was worth the money just for that, but priced well even without that consideration. It also does not make any noise like some wall clocks. Another plus as it does not require Mom to figure out where the noise is coming from.I followed the you tube video and had no difficulty setting it up. I waited until the change in daylight savings time to post my review. No problem with the change. So far, no need to change the battery, so I can’t really comment on that yet. If it is problem, I will update my review, but do not anticipate one because of the video instructions.

Got this for elderly parent who is having trouble remembering what day it is... nice big, easily readable, well lit letters sets this clock apart from the others. That atomic clock thing seems like a battery killer to me, but once set, no need to leave it on. Sequentially set date and time, don't remember if I had read the directions or not, but it was easy enough, no frustration at all. This is my 2nd one, first one lasted 7 years or so, not sure if it died on its own or got dropped, but for the price, great device.

Great clock with day, date and temp info. I like how big it is because I put it above my kitchen window, and it’s still easy to read. I’ll order more…

I purchased this for my 93 yr old client who just couldn't remember the day of the week or the date. She looks at this clock numerous times a day to remind herself of what is happening on her schedule. So far, it keeps great time and is always right. Large letters keep her from squinting. Definitely recomend this for anyone with memory shortages.

This is a good digital clock for older people. Easy to read, provides day, date, time ( and temp if you prefer). But for a pricey plastic item, it has loads of marks all over the silver face. Discovered this Christmas Eve, so too late to do anything about it.

Ya había comprado otros productos La Crosse que habían funcionado correctamente.Este reloj digital atómico de pared presentaba el problema de descargar por completo las baterías en tan solo un par de días. Probé con baterías alcalinas nuevas y recargables con carga completa y obtuve el mismo resultado.Dado lo anterior procedí a una devolución la cual está en proceso de hacerse efectiva.

I like everything about this clock. The instructions are very good so setup was easy. It is very accurate and keeps perfect time with my cell phone. It is easy to read but as with any LCD, position is important. It is best mounted at, or near, eye level. Extreme viewing angles should be avoided. A corner table would be good or on the short wall in a room perhaps. Test it yourself before picking a spot for it. Highly recommended.
