3 years later and it’s still in good condition
You will not regret purchasing! As a content creator it is imperative for me to have a secure tripod to be able to not only record but to do so from different angles. This product provides just that! Not only does it provide stability for your phone but also provides a variety of brightness settings to get you the perfect shot. I would recommend however keeping it on the charger when not using to ensure the light is fully charged at the time of recording but battery life is pretty good for the most part. It is super light and easy to take with you were ever you go. It can also extend do if you need a over head view, it extends to st least a couple feet. With all the different angles it allows and the brightness settings you’re sure to get the perfect shot. It is going on year 3 and this is still my one and only go to. I’ll starch some photos and videos I was able to get using this product.

A bit finicky with how to maneuver it. Good if you follow guide/instructions
Its not very intuitive, but if you follow the instructions it can work perfectly fine.I had a bit of issues with it in some positions though in terms of having it be balanced and not slightly lop sided? but aside from that it worked fine.

Not worth it: Imbalanced, weak gear teeth
The media could not be loaded. I bought this for overhead shots but need my shots very straight. Not only is the base too light, the arm cannot hold itself level with the phone in place.I wanted this bcuz it would not need to be clamped to the edge of the table, but lack of balance causing a tilt in the shot is a problem for my needs. Overhead is fine if you don't need a perfectly straight shot. I've tried several things to get it straight...but the slightest touch causes it to move. I would be constantly fiddling with this thing. It cannot hold the phone sideways or at other angles because the gear teeth slip. The video shows the lightest touch causes the teeth to slip, so it will not hold the phone in positions other than overhead and portait with the stand going straight up and down.It does not raise 130cm, it is more like 110cm or around 42inches. The phone clamp is difficult to maneuver in my otterbox because it's so shallow.I did get the clamp model as well (different brand) it's much stronger, does the job and the light is better...it even detaches so you can put it where needed. Its a lot cheaper also, and the phone clamp is easier to maneuver because of its shape. I wanted to love this, but it's going back and I will work with the clamp model.

Good phone holder for recording
Review: Handy Phone Holder for RecordingI’ve been using this phone holder for work, and overall, it’s been pretty good! The light is a really nice touch—it’s bright and evenly lights up my space, which makes a big difference in my videos. I also love how easy it is to fold up and store when I’m done. That said, there are a couple of things I wish were better. My phone tends to fall off pretty often, which can get frustrating. It also doesn’t have a slant or adjustable angle feature—it’s either straight up or looking down. A tilt option would make it so much more versatile!Overall, it’s a decent phone holder, especially for the price. The light and foldable design are great, but I wish it had a more secure grip and better angle options. If those features aren’t dealbreakers for you, it’s still a handy tool!

Wanted to love it but can’t
Not sure if the one I got was previously used by someone else or defective but this didn’t work as well as I had hoped. While I did use it quite successfully to film several videos, it was a complete struggle bus almost every time.I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max which fit in the clip perfectly and the stand seemed to hold the weight fine. However, the clip would often slide the phone at an awkward angle while filming and I would have to wedge something under the phone to get it to film straight (I shouldn’t have to do that). The other issue I had was when filming overhead (which was the whole purpose of purchasing this), the stand would lean over too far. Again, it took maneuvering and rigging something to balance the weight so the angle would appear flat in the video, but then the camera was shakey. Not ideal and again… shouldn’t have to do all that extra work. The final straw was when trying to film at the 45 degree angle (vs overhead). Even with constant repositioning of the phone, the phone holder kept slipping out of the “angle lock” (or whatever it’s called).I will be returning this because I can’t continue to waste time with all this nonsense. I do plan on ordering another one in the hopes that this one was just defective or a returned item that was damaged by someone else previously. 🤞Honestly… if the next one works as it is supposed to, I’ll update my review because I really do love this!!Side note: there are a few reviews on here about how the phone holder doesn’t “stay up.” It is entirely USER ERROR because people do not take the time to read directions or read/watch reviews. There are some great video reviews that show you exactly how to get the phone holder to “stay up!”
