I recently added the Philips Hue Smart Wireless Dimmer Switch V2 to my smart home setup, and it has been a game-changer. Its responsive buttons provide instant control over my Hue lights, allowing me to adjust brightness and cycle through preset scenes effortlessly. I was so impressed with its performance that I purchased a second one for another room.Overall, the Philips Hue Dimmer Switch V2 combines style, functionality, and ease of use, making it an excellent addition to any Philips Hue lighting system.

Easy install
As someone who loves to use smart home devices, I was really excited to try out the Philips Hue Smart Wireless Dimmer Switch V2. I have to say, I was really impressed by this device. The switch is very easy to install - it took me less than 5 minutes to set it up and get it connected to my Hue lights. One of the best things about the Philips Hue Smart Wireless Dimmer Switch V2 is that it's incredibly versatile. You can use it to control one light, or multiple lights at once. You can also customise the buttons to do different things - for example, I set one of the buttons to turn on a specific light at a certain brightness, and another button to turn on a different light at a different brightness. The switch itself is really well-designed. It's small and compact, so it doesn't take up too much space on your wall, and it has a very sleek and modern look. The buttons are responsive and easy to press, and the dimming feature is smooth and seamless. One thing to keep in mind is that you do need a Philips Hue Bridge in order to use the Philips Hue Smart Wireless Dimmer Switch V2. However, if you already have other Hue products, you probably already have a bridge, so this won't be an issue.Overall, I would definitely recommend the Philips Hue Smart Wireless Dimmer Switch V2 to anyone looking for an easy way to control their Hue lights. It's versatile, well-designed, and incredibly convenient to use.

Works well with Hue and can also control others via Alexa routines
I bought this to control Hue light bars and a Hue bulb in my home office. I also wanted it to control my Govee lamp which I have had some success with. The 4 buttons & dial can be configured to control individual bulbs, rooms or zones and has several options available. On a single press you can get it to cycle through different scenes, select a single scene, have a time-based scene selection (e.g. a different scene in the morning), or switch lights off. Long press can be configured to switch lights off too. There is also a smart on/off function whereby a short press will cycle through scenes, but if you leave it for 3 seconds the next short press will switch the light off instead. It comes with a backing place to stick on the wall, however I have mine directly attached to the leg of a Secretlab desk. This works really well and the magnet is strong enough to hold it firm while using the dimmer dial. The black colour looks great on the desk too as it doesn't stand out.You can control non-Hue products to a degree but it is limited. You can do this via a routine on Alexa as the single button presses are exposed as events. It's not great though as one button can be used to turn on a Govee light (for example) but then you can't switch it off with the same button. Long presses are not sent over to Alexa as a separate event. Note that whilst it appeared in Alexa as a device I had trouble getting the events to fire, in the end I had to de-link and re-link the Hue skill. After that it worked fine and it is turning on my Govee lamp. The Alexa routine will be fired regardless of what else you have set up on the button in the Hue app.Overall glad I got it, looks great and is easy to use. It is too expensive though in my opinion, I managed to get it for £31.99 before it shot back up to £40+. Even the price I paid is a bit too much for a switch.

More expensive than competitors but wayyyyyy worth it
Phillips Hue are more expensive than other brands- but they are certainly worth it. They "just work" and continue to work, no dropouts, no random issues that take time to debug/work out. They just work- and do all the little extra's too- tell you when the battery is low etc. The app is good and gives a whole range of useful features- eg. time based actions based on when the switch is pressed. This is my 5th switch and all of them are still working. Great quality.

Nice upgrade
As expected from Philips hue range tbh, good build quality. Good functionality. Fits over my existing light switch just fine. Allows me to have control over all three lights in the room

Great Addition to the HUE System
If you have a Phillips hue system in your household then this smart wireless dimmer switch will not miss.Whether it's a permanent fixture to be used in replace of a light switch or even as a remote this switch is very handy. As with all Phillips Hue products it is very easy to connect it to your ecosystem. The product itself looks great and feels nice in hand.Programming the switch can be figured in the app which allows you to really set the device up to suit your needs.

Converted
I used to consider Hue products to be quite pricey, so I typically opted for more affordable brands. However, after becoming frustrated with subpar software and hardware, I decided to give Philips a shot. I'm really pleased I did; the quality is excellent, connecting devices is a breeze, and the remote is user-friendly. I do wish I could manage multiple zones, so I ended up purchasing a second remote, which was a fantastic deal.
