Bose Smart Soundbar 300 - Bluetooth connectivity with Alexa voice control built in, Black

I’ve read reports that say the sound is poor. BOSE are a well respected manufacturer and I suspect they have not read up on how to get the best out of the soundbar. Don’t use the cable supplied. Get yourself a 8k HDMR high speed cable use eARC or ARC socket on soundbar and TV respectively. This will give the best sound from soundbar. I’ve selected voice audio on app as I wanted this enhanced on dramas and films which works well. There is plenty of bass for me as I like natural sound, however if you like a lot of base I would suggest getting a sub woofer as well. You won’t get much of a surround sound from the 300 but that suits me. The quality of sound is excellent and more in front of you. And a bit to the side. For the price an excellent bit of kit and much better than the TV sound alone.

So easy to link up and the app is so useful. If i am in bed and the bass is too loud you can turn it down on your phone app instead of going downstairs to tell whoever is watching tv to turn it down.Great sound. You need to add the bass module for best experience. Bass module links up easy too. Well worth the price tag, amazon was far cheaper than anywhere else including Bose direct!

The media could not be loaded. Sounds really good in a 4m*5m living room. The only thing I am not happy with is the sound it plays when I turn the tv on, it's a very loud sound that plays regardless if I turn the tv or the sound bar on mute and I couldn't find any option to turn the start up sound off. You can't really turn the tv on at night or early morning as you will be noticed by the sleeping people in the house or for me even my next door neighbor. Would rate 5 stars if I had the option to turn that off!

This is a great piece of kit, and I'm glad I upsold myself to the 300 model. The whole family love it and it's made a real difference to movie night - in fact pretty much all TV but the kids have loved re-watching all their favorite Disney movies with the enhanced sound.The clarity of sound, voice definition and depth of bass is fantastic. I've got it positioned in a wooden cabinet under the TV and this probably helps the bass - I would definitely not need an additional sub.It's expensive, but really worth the money, very happy customer.

Whether it’s linked with tv or for music this bar makes everything sound amazing. So easy to set up and use. It’s also very reasonably priced for a sound bar of this quality.

Whilst the Soundbar produces great sound beware if it goes wrong as ours did after 5 months. It was returned to Bose who stated that the turnaround time for a replacement would be 3 weeks, this time period came and went, after many online chats with Bose agents promising me it would be with me in 72 hours the last agent wrote ‘ I understand that this has been a major inconvenience for you. We are out of stock for soundbar 300 and unfortunately it will be back in stock in mid may to be exact. Please understand that there is nothing that we or any department at Bose can do about it. Once it is back in stock, we will dispatch it.I understand it is not suitable. We only provide repair option for soundbars, there is no replacement option. For your inconvenience, this option was provided as a courtesy for it to be replaced with a new one. It is just unfortunate that we do not have the stock for it right now. I understand how upsetting it can be as a customer.’So if you are happy that this may happen to you, then whilst it works it’s a great sound.

excellent quality that you'd expect from Bose, 5 mins to set up.

It's a rich sound that enhances your viewing. Alexa is a bonus, I just wished I could use my existing TV remote (sky) to control the volume up and down.
