Unfortunately this multifunctional accessory does not work as advertized - the suction cup does not want to stick to the guitar at all, it just slides right off. I've seen a similar device used online and had high hopes for it, but this one has to just sit on the shelf now because it's more expensive to return it than to throw it away.

The one very simple thing this product is supposed to do... support the guitar... is the one thing it is truly incapable of. The plunger does not hold for the duration of even one song.

I'm not sure what to make of this. It initially works very well, supporting the guitar above your leg in a perfect playing position. However, after half an hour to one hour, the suction lets go and it falls off. I suspect that this is not the fault of the guitar rest, but it is simply because the guitar is made of wood, which is both rough and porous, and is likely to allow air to leak in..There are rival products at four times the price. I am reluctant to try them because they may have the same issue.Overall, if you are happy with a footstool, then I recommend that you use one. If. like me, you find extended use of a footstool uncomfortable, then you may want to give this product or one of its rivals a try, as it is a great deal better than nothing.Update: I have now purchased a guitar cushion, which works just as well and does not have these issues. I recommend the guitar cushion.
