Q: Does this come with the zips already on the roll or do you need to put them on yourself?

You have to thread the sliders on yourself. In my ignorance I had a bit of a job and the first one took ages; but when I complained to one of my sons he did it in 20 seconds flat. How? Cut a length slightly longer than you need. It doesn't matter which end you start at but split the zipper apart for about 7 or 8 cms. Carefully thread each side through the slider, making sure it goes past the little 'blip' you can see just inside the slider. When you have both sides of the zipper threaded just through the slider hold both ends of the fabric together then slide the slider down until it engages with the zipper teeth and it works, then you can slide it up or down. It would have helped if the manufacturer had put instructions in the package wouldn't it. Good luck!
