Love dalstrong knives but less love for this one
Love the dalstrong knives but less love for this one.The wheel doesn't rotate easily. The overall shape of the cutter is awesome. The cutting edge did as expected of a cutter.Only complaint was the rotation of wheel.I had to return it.If re-engineered and improved; please let me know.=======Update.I received a new pizza cutter. No change in rotation. You have to unscrew to loosen the pressure tension on the wheel axle and wheel fork. Concern to have a free rotating wheel is that could loosen during use and disassemble. If disassembly happens. The very micro silicone seal would get lost in pizza toppings. They thinned down the pizza wheel quite a bit. Makes the blade feel cheap and an after thought. I prefer the previous wheel design and heavy weight because it balanced the weight of the heavy handle and fork.. not sure the silicone seal does anything of purpose so I may just remove it and try it for a while. Then then concern of eating it will be avoided. I would go back to the heavier/thicker wheel. Thats all I noticed in redesign and it wasn't the problem. Now you have a heavy duty handle and a thin wheel that actually takes away from the design. You get the feeling during use that the weight and down force during cutting, the blade could fold/bend or warp over time. Just a feeling. I'm sure it won't.I want to give a 5 star. But downsizing the wheel thickness was a mistake and makes this revision feel cheaper and unbalanced.Giving them 5 star because they are trying to improve their product. Their customer support is great. Now I wish I kept the first one because that wheel was thicker and more like a beast blade and proportionate to the handle. And just remove the silicone seal.Don't look at Dalstrong in bad light in any way from this review. The knives are unique and I have over almost a dozen knives and no regrets other than just removing that darn silicone seal and keeping the first beast pizza cuter.Still a very unique addition to my collection.Just saw typo.. giving them 5 stars.Slices well through dough. It does maintain a straight line and doesn't deviate when cutting unless you tilt the cutter and then you can turn it on a dime to make unique cut designs and shapes.Love Dalstrong items. You should check out their new "Scorpion" series. Just wish the pairing knife was closer to $40 range.

Very nice pizza cutter.
This is a very high-quality pizza cutter—very sharp. I hoped it might be a little heavier, but it works great. The blade is thin, so I hope they make replacement blades.

Expensive investment but worth it
I was looking for a replacement cutter. Most cutters are ok- but not anything exceptional.I found this. Granted, the brand has a good reputation but it is expensive- so I took the plunge and invest in this cutter. It is an investment- treat it as such.First, it is heavy and it is balanced. It fits well in the hand. It feels that it would have no problem cutting pizza crust in one pass.Second, it’s relatively sharp. It’s not sharp like a knife but it isn’t so dull that you feel you have to go through the crust several times to cut it. The weight of the cutter helps in cutting. Unfortunately, under the care/ usage instructions- I have to adjust how much pressure I use since I use a pizza stone and there are precautions on using on hard objects while cutting to preserve the blade’s edge. The included blade guard is a nice touch while putting it in your kitchen drawer to prevent any damage to the blade.Third- disassembly is easy. Again be careful not to drop or roughly handle the blade. There is a small nylon/plastic gasket that can easily get lost. So have a nice surface to disassemble it so you don’t loose it or have a steady supply of gaskets to replace them.Fourth- cleaning is easy. Referring to the above- you can disassemble it ( as opposed to others).Overall- buy this. Invest in this. Maybe switch to this brand to upgrade your kitchen tools.

Very Well Made-Finish/Fit/Confort?
Pricy as others stated but does what its designed to do. I do like the robust appearance and design; it should last longer than a lifetime. It does not slice/cut any better than the cheaper versions of this style, it's a score cutting blade, it uses pressure to do the work, can be sharpened easily for those who wish it. I put a lite convex edge on mine. I only wish they made a polished version, don't really like the statin finish. My biggest issue is the handle, I have average large strong hands, but the lower portion/contour of the handle feels rather blocky, needs more rounded to make a more comfortable handle. Some people stated that it was hard to wash, if you rinse the cheese and tomato paste off in hot water as soon as you get through slicing your pizza, then washing is a breeze, I use a bottle brush it seems to make the task very easy.
