Works pretty well
My property backs on conservation land (woods), and we have many deer and also rabbits that eat our hostas, lilies, and other deer and rabbit favorites. I've tried spraying liquid deer/rabbit repellent on the plants they like to eat, but it washes off in the rain fairly quickly and doesn't seem to be very effective. Repellex granules, though, because you scratch them into the soil around the plant, work much better than the liquid spray repellents I've tried. The plant takes up the capsaicin in the granules, making the plants taste very spicy and thereby discouraging the animals from eating them. When the deer are really hungry in winter, they'll eat just about anything, but last winter I didn't bother putting Repellex around my hydrangeas and other bushes that the deer like to eat. I will this year and see if it helps. Overall, this is a really good product, and while it's not cheap, it's worth it to be able to enjoy the many plants I lose each year to hungry ruminants.

Deer and rabbit repellent
Finally found something that works LONG TERM to keep the deer and rabbits away from my hostas and flowers! To start, it takes a while to get in the soil/plant and do it's magic, so I used the topical sprays for a couple months. Easy to use and you don't need to use a lot of the product. I use itmostly in the spring, but I do mix it lightly in the soil in the late fall. Be careful not to use it near anything edible or it will taste bitter. Love this product!

This product deters animals from eating plants, but I’ve found it wears off sooner than the once per year application rate.

Repellex for repelling rabbits
Have a great number of rabbits that were eating everything in the garden. Tried many products, nothing worked for long. Tried Repellex - problem solved!

No Deer nibbles on Hostas and Day Lilies
Repellex seems to be working well keeping deer from eating my hostas and day lilies. This has also saved me money on what I would spend on the stinky spray repellents that needed to be applied every 3 to 7 days. I am in a very high deer population area and the smart creatures knew exactly when the spray dissipated and the could eat every flower and leaf. Loving the results from this product. I have finally found something that works. I now can enjoy my gardens and watching the deer in my yard. A win win.

Didn't work for me
Stupidly, I ordered three containers at around $90 total. Should have started with one, but some of the reviews were just so convincing. It did not work for me. I had high hopes for something I could put down that would work all season long, as advertised. Put the product down after the deer had eaten the Spring growth on my roses.. Watered it in, many times. When the new growth started again a few weeks later, the deer came through at night and ate it all. Back to the smelly stuff you spray on...
