Good kit. You need both the videos and instructions to assemble!!!
I purchased the RaspBot for my 10 yr old and I to build while on remote learning. It has been one of the most fun projects of the pandemic! The box arrived and I was impressed by how well organized everything was. All the nuts, bolts, screws and stand-offs were well labeled and the pieces were easy to pop out of the plastic sheets they were cut from. The electronics appear to be of good quality and are straight forward. We did need both the user manual and the videos, but often my son was already a step or two beyond me. I only had to troubleshoot what he did once and Adeept's response was very helpful.Overall, I have to say it's the first time I feel like we're getting the real promise out of the Raspberry Pi! It's a great product and I look forward to the programming and playing around with it together this summer!!!

Missing Parts
I just got mine the other day and was really excited to get started. But it was missing several standoffs and I was unable to put the bot together. Very frustrating.More than willing to change the review if I can get the screw standoffs that I need.

Poorly designed thing of a questionable educational value
Well, your child will learn a lot. A lot of swear words you have not heard yourself using since the late 90es.Assembly is difficult because the kid who designed this kit did not think it through, so it is awkward, strange and at times feels like a practical joke.Speaking of jokes: instead of standardizing on 2 or 3, they chose to use 25 kinds of just slightly different spare parts and decided put the exact number of screws into the box so if you lose a single screw you ... well, you can go entertain yourself. And the smallest screws are about as large as lice. Good luck searching for them on a white carpet.Don't buy this. If you already did, use duct tape generously. Use it to keep acrylic parts together and hold m2 and m3 nuts in place. Acrylic pieces are brittle and will not last long.Anyway, your child may pick up a interest in obscene philology at worst or learn how NOT to design robots at best.

Decent kit with some correctable flaws.
I've seen some griping with other reviews because it doesn't come with a pi. OF COURSE IT DOESN'T! If they included a pi, it would almost triple the price. It's a reasonably designed kit. Some of the parts don't quite fit perfectly, but as long as you are careful, you shouldn't have any problems. The batteries that come with it are absolutely garbage. Buy a pair of good 18650's right off the bat. They lasted less than 3 minutes per charge. Also don't forget a separate charger! The pi has a tendency to run hot, so also keep that in mind.Okay, now that the negatives are over, let's talk about the robot and the associated course it comes with. It's actually a good combo for the money! If you take your time,it might teach you quite a bit if you are a beginner. It even has a basic and an advanced course! While it could be improved by a good editing with a native language translator with some technical knowledge, it's fairly comprehensive for a beginner. I was fairly impressed with the depth of knowledge it actually gives you. From how to use apps like fing, to putty and even mobaXterm. It also teaches you basic code editing. If you already have a pi and you want to learn some neat stuff, buy this kit. If you don't and are curious, buy a pi 2 and have fun with this kit!

Disappointing
I didn't enjoy it, too many wires to cram in, the shell was easy to break, they Said it was easy to code, false, on top of that, when I got it, it was incomplete, I had to buy a important part, or else it won't work.

Nuts and bolts
The unit was less than I expected. However what got me was the nuts and bolts. You are holding the thing together and then you have to hold the unit upside down and sideways and then slip a 3mm bolt into a bolt sized hole. If you don't hold the unit steady the bolt flys out and either goes inside the unit or in the carpet. One slip up and 90% of the unit falls apart. This could have been easily fixed with self tapping screws. Even better, the side walls should slide in place. Locking the unit together without having to have the dexterity of a surgent. The tutorial text pdfs were excellent!
