Great Upgrade with a Few Extra Steps and Planning!
I recently upgraded my New to me but loved Nintendo Switch Lite using the eXtremeRate Clear Atomic Purple DIY Replacement Shell and I’m really happy with the result. The new shell gives my Switch Lite a fresh, unique look that really stands out.A few tips for anyone considering this upgrade:• Watch Some Tutorials: Although the swap isn’t overly difficult, I highly recommend taking the time to watch a few YouTube tutorials. They provide a clear, step-by-step guide that makes the process much smoother.• Patience is Key: Set aside a good chunk of time so you don’t feel rushed. The process involves careful disassembly and reassembly, and a calm approach helps avoid mistakes.• Thermal Paste is a Must: Don’t forget to purchase some thermal paste! You’ll need it for the heat sink during reassembly to ensure proper heat dissipation. Skipping this step could lead to overheating issues down the line.Overall, the eXtremeRate shell not only looks fantastic but also fits well once installed correctly. With a little preparation and some extra supplies, this DIY project is totally doable and well worth the effort.Happy modding!

Not too big of a challenge, but you'll need a heat gun...
...or a very powerful blow-dryer when it comes time to detach the screen from the front of your original shell. Be aware, too, that the person in the how-to video doesn't properly disconnect the battery until late in the process and you should ideally be disconnecting the battery before anything else. The quality of the plastic is pretty good and everything fits together nicely. It feels nice and solid in your hands, too. The process took me about 3 hours all together, which included swapping out the original joysticks for hall effect sticks. On that note, the whole reason I was popping my lite open in the first place was to replace my sticks after the left one started drifting, but I'm glad I decided to go through with the full housing replacement, because the result looks sick. If you have the time to commit to it, it's definitely less intimidating of a modding process than GBA SP or DSLite, at least in my experience.

Hot Pink Switch Lite Case
This is a very cool case! It’s giving game boy advance. I will note, I bought the case and brought it to a professional repair store to install it. PLEASE do your research, watch the YouTube instruction video, and consider what has to be done for this cosmetic upgrade (literally take apart the whole console plus need a heat gun to remove the screen). The screen protector that comes with the case is grey, so I bought the black one separately. Whatever is underneath the screen protector is the original color of your console. The plastic itself is nice, but thin. I’m unsure what would happen if I dropped it…Overall, I love how it turned out!

Great switch lite case replacement!
My turquoise sw lite case has a corner crack so I decided to replace the whole case housing and thus product did not dissappoint!Pros:-Good packaging, thoroughly thought out.-Comes with 2 screwdrivers and facebuttons and other required plastic tabs, and all the screws needex-housing seems to be made or good quality plastic. I bought the clear purpleCons:N/AFor 22 dollars, this is a good product. Please keep some of your old switch buttons etc as this product does not come with all the parts req to fully replace your sw lite internals and buttons. As long as you have some patient and watch their installation video guide(provided via their qr code in the packaging), u should not have any issue replacing this new housing.Definitely i will buy a few more kits from them as backup :)

Very nice shell
I used this black translucent shell for a recent swap and it worked great. Fit is immaculate. Looks like it came from the factory. I also used black buttons from this company as well. The thumb stick caps came from another company on Amazon (skull something I think) they just slipped on over top of the original white ones. I did not use the included screen protector as I opted to change the digitizer from the factory blue to a dark grey one. I bought this part from A-mind on Amazon. Everything works great and I am very happy with the results. My main tip is to have experience with stuff like this or pay someone else to do it. It’s not an easy swap by any means and would be very easy to damage multiple parts. I followed a YouTube tutorial where I guy did a SNES gray retro swap shell and everything went smoothly for me for the most part. No complaints. Oh, I also got the Nintendo decal from Etsy and installed it under the translucent shell directly to the metal shield so it wouldn’t get scuffed off.
