RG6 Compression F Type Connector Quick Push on Coax Cable Adapter Gold Plated Pack of 5

Here in Florida we get tons of lightning strikes. A recent strike on my ISP's cable near the house took out my cable modem and router. $$$ !I installed one of these to act as a 'quick disconnect' and anytime a very active storm hit us I now simply pull the connection apart until it passes. Works great. Fighting Type-F coaxial connectors is a pain in the neck. This is much easier and faster.

I have ordered these twice from 2 different sellers. They are always too loose. Terrible. May be the same product sold by 2 different sellers. I have some very old ones that are not gold plated that fit much better. I will probably have to try another type but Amazon keeps selling them even though they do not work properly. I will probably have to buy directly from a reputable rf product provider.

This gold color slips off 75 ohm adapter in case lightning is nearby. I use this to connect to a surge adapter attached to an incoming line from a cable content provider. If home I just pull it off. If not the surge protector should work. I lost over $500 A/V equipment when a Spectrum line allowed the cable box to light up like a Christmas tree during a lightning storm, home theatre equipment connected to the modem blown out.
