Item works as intended.

I have a TP-Link 8411, it has 2 SFP+ ports and one SPF port, I got thr 2 SFP+ ports to step down to Ethernet with no issues, I could not get the SFP port to work. I ended up buying a $10 SPF to Gigabit module and that worked.Conversely, the SPF to RJ45 only works on SPF port, not on SPF+ ports.Devices get quite hot, but no disconnecting issues.

I am very happy with it. Connects at both 1gbe and 2.5gbe. I bought this in hopes it would work for my Netgear X10 R9000 and it worked immediately. I first tried it with 1gbe connecting to my Netgear cm1100 and it worked and negotiated at 1gbe. I installed a new Motorola MB861, connected to it and it negotiated at 2.5gbe. I have 1.2gb down and 12mb up. And I'm getting that.Was worried it would get hot as I've seen reviews about these getting so hot you can't touch them long. I must have gotten lucky because 6 hour's in and it is warm barely warm, my modem puts off more heat.Purchased even though I've read review's about these just not working after a while. They have a 3 year warranty then you've got Amazon return policy. That's more than TP-Link offer's and 10gtek doesn't even list warranty unless purchased through their website not through Amazon. So far I'm happy with it and time will tell. I will change review if it stops working and will update on the review and customer service if that happens.

Bought this to go from the ubiquiti cable modem (UCI) to the dream machine pro (UDMPro) and it worked perfectly. I'm getting my full advertised speeds from xfinity now.(UCI has 2.5Gbe interface, UDMPro ethernet for internet is only 1Gbe but the sfp port for internet is 10Gbe).

This SFP is complete garbage. Runs piping hot on my UniFi DMP and causes multiple network outage events per day.I’m not running an enterprise, this was used in a simple 2Gig home network set up.

Ordered these for a Dell PowerEdge 730xd server - they did not work. Had to send them back. Overall, fast quick ordering and delivery. Received exactly what I ordered - description lead me to believe they would work in my server (minus 1 star). Item return process was super simple. Thanks everyone.

I purchased this to use with an HP Aruba 2930F. Once you enable third-party receivers in the switch, it works without issue.

After about a week of use this thing has been working as it should. I especially like how it is compatible with the Netgear NightHawk XR700. Netgear does not list this SFP+ on there website of compatibility, but from what I have seen it works without question flawlessly. Make sure to reboot all the hardware once installed.
