Me sorprendió gratamente este termostato. La instalación fue muy sencilla, no tuve que llamar a ningún técnico. Solo seguí las instrucciones y en pocos minutos ya estaba funcionando. Me gusta que permite programar diferentes horarios para los días de semana y los fines de semana, lo cual es ideal para ahorrar energía.La pantalla es clara y los botones son fáciles de usar. No tiene funciones inteligentes ni se conecta al WiFi, pero para quienes buscan algo básico, confiable y funcional, este modelo es perfecto. Además, se ve bien en la pared y cumple exactamente con lo que promete.Lo recomiendo sin duda si quieres algo práctico, fácil de usar y a buen precio.

We have an older house that just has a Williams gravity wall heater, but the thermostat was so old that I ordered this as a replacement and it does the job perfectly. The included instructions make it clear on how to install it and it made my room more comfortable within minutes!

One of our Honeywell RTH230B thermostat stopped working correctly. This model is a good replacement - A bit bigger. Only knock is changing batteries requires removing faceplate with connector - that might lead to wear and tear on both connecter and receptacle.

This is a very basic no thrills thermostat for a great price from a reputable company.My old one just stopped working mid winter and I found this with fast shipping. Whats great is it’s the exact same bracket as my previous model which is just like this but without the light up screen. Even the directions show the old model. With that one I always was using my phone flashlight so this is a nice upgrade. They’re otherwise almost identical.Yes, the screen has the weird marks on it but it doesn’t bother me. I’m just happy to be able to see it in the dark.The schedule is a cool feature. I don’t know if there’s an option to use less times for it though. Might be nice.Would I love mobile features. Yes. But at this price I wouldn’t expect it and at least I was able to avoid any drilling. Was able to install in 30 seconds because of it.

I purchased this after getting frustrated with the Nest constantly activating "rush hour" mode during the summer, which left my house uncomfortably hot. This thermostat is easy to install and user-friendly. One important tip: double-check that your wiring is correct before installation. My issue wasn’t with the product itself, but with incorrect wiring from a previous setup, which caused a blown fuse. Also, be sure to turn off the power at the breaker before starting. Great product overall once everything is set up correctly!

This review is for the Honeywell RTH2300B1038 5-2 Day programmable thermostat. It works OK (meaning that it turns my furnace on and off), but it has several drawback that don’t match its higher price point over less expensive thermostats that have greater functionality.Installation was not quite as straight forward as I expected, I had to cross reference some youtube videos to make sure I was correctly leaving the blue thermostat control wire disconnected. A few extra details in the instructions would be helpful here. The first thing I noticed when it was connected and powered up is that it had the same dark/dirty area in the lower right corner of the green backlight that everyone else has pointed out. Definitely some quality control issues during manufacturing here. There’s a confidence booster… This isn’t really a big deal, because I don’t need to use the backlight.The next think I noticed was the deal breaker for me: though there is a five-day and a two-day program, there is only a single group of settings that will apply to BOTH the heating and cooling cycles. During the winter, we keep our furnace set a bit lower, usually around 67 degrees. During the summer, we keep the air conditioning set higher, around 75 degrees. You cannot achieve these setting with this thermostat - you only get one set of settings. This means you have to reprogram the thermostat every time the season changes. Call me lazy, but this introduces hassle that wasn’t present with my previous thermostat. This means I would need to write down the settings in some place that I’ll be able to find six months later. No thanks.The next thing that I noticed is that this Honeywell thermostat causes my furnace to cycle much more frequently than the old thermostat did. This results in more wear and tear on your furnace and air conditioning compressors. There might be a place to adjust this behavior, broadening the temp spread for the turn-on and turn-off points, but given that it only has a single set of time/temp settings, I had already made up my mind to return it, so I didn’t bother looking through the manual to see if this is possible or not.If you find yourself in need of a new thermostat, save a few dollars and pick up a Lux Pro PSP511C thermostat that is much better. It has separate time/temp setting for heating and for cooling and you can easily adjust the on/off temp spread so your equipment cycles less often. This saves wear and tear and is also more energy efficient.
