Q: The battery in the kit does not charge. I used up both gaskets for the testing. I don't want to chance another purchase. Suggestions?

You can check if the battery will charge before you put it all back together. I think that the instructions showed something about this. Testing if you see the lightening bolt before putting actually snapping the cover closed. And I found that I used both of the 3M double sided sticky things in the installation. I pulled out the rubber gasket that was there and cleaned and replaced the sticky on BOTH sides of it.

Mine didn’t start until I charged it. Let it charge and it should start up just fine. 😊
