Brilliant product
If you have a leaking pluming issue that is unviable difficult to fix without a strip down, I would strongly recommend this products. The mixer valve on my underfloor heating was leaking. Due to its position in the system and space around the manifold this would have been a 2-3 day (!) job to remove and replace, even if I could have got the parts that are now obsolete. I bought this product as a last effort fix before strip down.Few points to note :1. Make sure you clean any chrome effect off fittings before using. I used a Dremel to remove chrome and roughen the surface.2. Wear gloves !3. Work quickly. It sets on hot surfaces v v quickly (ie within a few mins) and is rock hard within 10 mins.4. Push the product into position and smooth it all around as the instructions show. I’d use excess at least 2cm past the place with an issue.5. Don’t be as concerned about the look, worry more about the coverage. It’s been in place now for 5 weeks with no issues. I would strongly recommend this to anyone with similar issues on copper or bronze (unchromed) fittings.

Useful product to have if you work near plumbing.
I used the product because in the process of repairing a floor did a plunge cut into a floor board. Having had a bad experience before i took care on the assumption there might be a pipe there. In the event there was and although I had been careful because the pipe was nearly flush with the underside of the board it sustained some shallow abrasions from the saw. I used this product as a cap just to ensure this minor weakness did not at a later date develop into a leak. It has a drier quality than most epoxy products and I had to work it quite a bit before I got good adherence for the collar I put around the pipe but once set it looked fairly solid. The product information on the manufacturers website needs improvement as it is a bit sketchy about procedures for using the putty to best effect.

Very useful!
After reading several other review, I took some precautions before I used this.Turn the water off, drain the pipes, clean and dry the leaking area.Cut a piece of the putty (larger than what you think you need) and put it in a plastic bag and submerged it in warm water for a few minutes.Remove the putty and Mix it together until it's all the same appearance then mould around the pipe or over the crack until the leak is fully covered, be quite forceful as you want to get the putty into the hole not just sitting over it.Using a wet finger, gently rub over the surface of the putty to smooth off any lumps and close any cracks.Let it set for at least 2 hours, overnight if possible.Hopefully, like me, you will then have a good seal and can turn the water back on. Whether or not you treat this as a temporary fix or permanent is your decision, but if like me you're OCD and don't like the look of a big copper bulge on the pipe, it should at least last until you can get a plumber out to replace the pipe!

Absolutely garbage product
As I was cleaning the toilet sink trap (wife dropped a ring down it) I Inadvertantly leant against the toilet cold water pipe going to the cistern causing a very small weep at one of the joints. So I ordered this and paid to have it delivered by 1pm the next day. It arrived. First thing first. Looked for instructions. You have to scan a QR code, which I did. This just takes you to the makers home page to buy, not instructions. So I did a search on YouTube and followed the instructions, after first cleaning all paint of the joint. Turned water off and Applied and waited 2 hours, 60 minutes more than they say. It still leaked. So later I removed all the previous mend and turned off water and applied again, this time leaving it overnight. Next morning turned water on, yep still leaking. Don't waste your money on this, may as well just use play dough.

It didn’t work for us
We followed the instructions to try and fix a split in a copper pipe but it still leaked afterwards and we ended up replacing the pipe. The epoxy has to be warmed up to keep it malleable which can be challenging when fixing a pipe that has split due to frozen conditions. It may work better in warmer temperatures.

Works well
Good quality and sealability in some circumstances. Easy to use with a copper like appearance. Only use as a temporary fix really.

I'm just a DIYer.
I bought this to fix a leak on my boiler but it didn't work. It's no particular reflection on the product though. I don't know why it didn't work, it was a hard to get at location and may just not have been possible to fix. Ended up buying a new part.

Bought to fix radiators
Doesn't work with copper pipes leading to radiators, looks like it would be decent to plug a whole in a fluid tank.
