This is a great product at a decent price.
Large, powerfull magnets align with the stirrer's magnet and stays in sync (makes even low-priced stirrers perform well). The eight flat sides (octagional) enhance turbulance for a more effecient (and quicker) stir even as the viscosity is increased. This is a great product at a decent price. The coating appears to be real PTFE (Teflon) so they should be chemically non-reactive, and immune to heat.

These are awesome stir bars - just make sure you actually have a decent stirring plate!
I won't go and dis any of the models of popular stirring plates out there. I bought one, then ended up buying a set of ten 1" stirring bars to compensate for the inadequacies of the stirring plate I purchased, while at the same time buying another stirring plate for twenty bucks more than the first, and found that the new plate I bought totally rocked while the first one was mediocre.As far as the magnetic stir bars are concerned? Well the new plate works well with any of the stirring bars I have, and now I can use any of my magnetic bars without issue, but these won't perform like you want them to if you get a crummy stirring plate.I really like these, however, and when I want more "bite" in the solution to be stirred, I use these instead of my smaller 1" bars. These are affordable too, which is important. I highly recommend these.

Very fast. And only 2 inches in length(sorry I’m boutta go do something. Not gonna think longer). These things spin center for me. Maybe I got lucky. Ionkno. Thanks gangsta🙂

Unbalanced, possibly fraudulent.
None of them work correctly. They bounce around the glass and don’t rotate or stir the liquid like they should. Magnets seem very weak; seems like a fraudulent product.

Not good with my Stirrer
It only works on low setting with my stirrer, but may work better with a more expensive 1, I spent $80 on mine.
