The packaging and information on the listing is very clear. Provided you get the remote with the right "functions" and button layout, it should work out of the box, and it did!Icing on the cake is the great tactile feedback on the buttons, which is even better than the original mushy-feeling buttons of my oroginal Mitsubishi AC remote. Packaging could've been improved though. Clearly local-unbranded product.
