I’ve tried sooooo many mineral sunscreens. This one takes the lead. I was a long time Elta MD clear user, it’s still a favorite, but sometimes my make up didn’t go on over well. Avene in this darker tint is excellent! It’s has the highest % zinc I have found yet doesn’t leave me white. Has a light matte finish. I suffer from melasma, so a high mineral sunscreen is very crucial to maintenance. It’s important not to have chemical ingredients as those can heat up and make my melasma worse.

It’s creamy and gives you a nice bronze-y shade. It goes on smoothly and leaves a slight sheen on the skin, making it look healthy and glowy. My only complaint is that it is such a small amount for the money. I have attached a picture for perspective.

Stays on even during sweaty sports. Light and easy to apply. I even use it as light coverage makeup at night.

I really wanted to love this formula but it fell short in a few areas. I was looking for something that could help minimize my daily routine and get me out of the door quick, but this tends to get greasy and it wears better with a setting powder. I'm not even sure at this point if there is a formula out there that will allow me to walk out of the door without setting?I tried to put on just a small amount, just a bare coverage, but it still creased and oiled up on me.It is also very minimal and super light coverage, unlike the compact version, you are really investing more in the sunscreen with this product, but keep in mind that it reads "reapply every 30 min" on the label of my bottle. So, there's that.I think this is better off for people with dry skin, as my combination skin is probably the issue with this one. Also, I heard it is now discontinued.

This is great under makeup or alone. Goes on dark/orange and seems to adjust to skintone. I'm very pale and it dried down nice and seems to blend well. This is a fantastic tinted moisturizer sunscreen for sensitive skin.

Excellent brand. Thermal water from avene helps me with acne very fast! And it looks soft and not oily, i use it as a sun block and a make up foundation in one! :)

Effective, but pricey. I bought all my Avene when I was in Italy. It's half the price and even better than US Avene.
