RSVP Mashing Fork by the everyday gourmet

I knew when I placed my order that it was made in China out of aluminum and was hand wash only. If it were stainless steel, and made in the USA, it would be a 5 star. I’ve been looking for a mashing fork for a long time. My grandmother had one that was perfect for mixing butter with flour as well as mashing soft fruits and vegetables. This one mashes the soft things, but I’m hesitant to use it for other things. It feels a bit too “light” and I’m afraid it will break or bend. It won’t take very long before someone puts it in the dishwasher and it will discolor and look ugly. I also have RSVP’s blending fork, which is stainless steel. If they made this in stainless steel, it would be perfect for mashing as well as blending. This will work for me in the short term, but I’ll keep looking for the perfect mashing fork.

Finally found this fork after years of searching. Can't wait to use it for tuna salad and egg salad.

I searched for years for this fork and finally found it! The tines are triangular so the back of the fork makes cutting in butter, mashing avocado, etc easy and the extra width makes stirring a breeze. This is the mashing/mixing fork to get!

This is the perfect fork for blending butter or shortening into pastry. I'm sure I'll find tons of other uses. Excellent quality. Good size. I expect this will last generations.

The size of this fork is perfect for my use. Mashing avocado. Also the thicker tones and their “v” shape aid in its usefulness.

Great for mixing pastry , breaking up ground beef in the skillet, and all kinds of mixing. Triangular tines are sharp.

Don't put it in the dishwasher. It leaves it dull, like there is something wrong in the metal.'

It's also a great pastry blending fork. Hard tom find so glad I did.

This is so useful utensil . Really works blending fat into flour and combining scone and pastry mix. Shame it had to come all the way from America !
