Fiskars Package Opener With Snap-in Screwdriver (158920-1001),Orange

I have some cheaper Fiskars shears and in my humid tropical environment they rust. These, however, are as shiny as new after about 5 months of use, and they are still nice and sharp. They even cut light landscape fabric that jams in other scissors. Worth every penny.

I like to call these my garage scissors, but I keep them in the kitchen for heavier duty tasks, suck as cutting cardboard, or plastic packaging. They are definitely not as heavy duty as snips, but are the perfect in between scissors for tasks requiring a less delicate tool than your standard office scissors.

I absolutely love these scissors! They are my go to for opening packaging, cutting cardboard, and getting through most things that are just too much for regular scissors. Please note, these are not wire cutters or tin snips. I wouldn’t use them on any metal except for maybe very, very thin wire. I got these for Christmas about ten years ago and love them so much we had to get a second pair for my spouse.

I haven't used them yet but they seemed pretty sturdy and comfortable in the hand. For the price, I hope they cut what I need them to cut and last

I bought another package opener that was a sort of tube with a cutter inside that you had to slide over the edges of the package. It was very awkward and unwieldy, I could not get it to work and was cutting my hands on the jagged edges it left. These cutters just work. They cut through the plastic and get the job done. They're also useful for cutting other things around the house.

Amazingingly useful in the garden ! I use them so much they already look old !! I bought them by mistake thinking g they were the lighter snips for fabric! Great mistake !!

Este es mi segundo par de esta marca y silo de tijeras. Los compré para trabajo de construcción, y son excelente para eso. Cortan alambres, cartón grueso, diferentes materiales como plástico y cuerdas. Lo que me sorprendió era cuantas beses los usaba aderezos de la casa para habría paquetes de plástico de seguridad que tantos productos tienen. Estas tijeras, como tienen serraciones en cada hoja puede cortar donde otra tijera no.La unique razón que no di cinco estrellas es porque este par me llegó con los cuchillos no perfectamente atinadas, que es requerido para que una tijera de calidad trabaje bien. Por esa razón, se quieren pegar, en lugar de abrir después de cada corte. Imagino que la calidad de control en donde están fabricados ha cambiado desde el primer par que compre.Si nunca has gastado en un par de tijeras de calidad, y siempre usado lo que encuentras alderredor; que normalmente son tijeras baratas que nadie quiere, te mereces comprar a lo menos un buen par de tijeras como estas en tu vida.

I own a pair of these Fiskars and love them so much, decided to purchase them for a friend. They are so versatile and are the go-to scissors for everything, from cutting carpet/artificial grass, trimming plants, snipping wire, cutting leather and just about anything else. Very well made and a manufacturer that stands behind their products if there's any problem.

So far, this product has done an excellent job of opening those awful hard plastic clamshell-type packages. It’s easy to use, and I’m very pleased.However—the white plastic slider that holds the shears closed when not in use, just broke—leaving the sharp blades exposed. This feature seems to be a very breakage-prone design. Other than that—I like this product enough to request a replacement.I also just re-read this ad, and noticed it mentions including TWO screwdrivers. I’ll be darned! Hadn’t noticed that it has a double-ended bit. On the other hand—the ad also says that the blades are “serrated.” That doesn’t appear to be the case.
